Lying 1250m above Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the middle of the skiing region of Hausberg/Kreuzeck, Bavaria, this rustic hotel provides a great base for both winter and summer breaks.

The Riesserkopfhütte Garmisch skiing and hiking lodge offers 95 comfortable beds, ideal for individual or group holidays.

The Tonihütte cabin restaurant serves delicious Swabian and Bavarian specialities in the evenings and can provide snacks during the day.

In the summer you can enjoy a dip in the pool, a game of football in the football field or volleyball in the volleyball court. A children’s playground is available for younger guests.

During the summer the surrounding area is ideal for exploring nature and the Riessersee lake, while during winter, popular activities apart from skiing include ice skating and curling.

Cultural attractions of Garmisch include Schloß Linderhof (Linderhof Castle), Schloss Neuschwanstein (Neuschwanstein Castle), Kloster Ettal (a Benedictine monastery) and the Wieskirche church.

Important information

The hotel’s shuttle service can pick up you up at the Aule Alm parking lot from 14:00 until 18:00. In exceptional cases, the service can be extended until 21:00.

It is a ski lodge primarily, the heat didn't work in our room but the staff moved us to another room and was very friendly. The price was awesome.
